Shoaib Akhtar (former Pakistan fast bowler) has announced the release of his biopic, titled ‘Rawalpindi Express Running Against the Odds’.

He said it would be the first foreign film to feature a Pakistani athlete. The world’s fastest bowler shared a video clip and poster to promote the biopic on social media.

“Beginning of this beautiful adventure. An announcement of the launch of my biopic, “RAWALPINDI PRESS – Running against all odds” This is the first film made in foreign about a Pakistani sportsman. Shoaib Akhtar, controversially yours.

The 46-year-old former Fast Bowler who participated in three World Cups for Pakistan, also held a ‘Q & A’ session about his upcoming project using the hashtag #RawalpindiExpressTheFilm.

Faraz Qaiser is the film’s director and Qfilmproductions produces it. The film will be released on November 16, 2023. No additional information has been made available about the project.

The film director shared his thoughts via social media and said, “An idea from 2016 is finally realized.” The poster for my first feature film is now available!

Akhtar made his international debut in 1997. He played 46 Tests and 163 ODIs. Also Read
